HOPPE North America, Inc., a manufacturer and wholesaler of window and door hardware is seeking a full-time Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative. Qualified candidates should have the technical aptitude to successfully complete product training which will allow them to answer questions of varying difficulty from customers, sales representatives, or other HOPPE personnel. Should be interested in working in a collaborative environment, servicing customers in the window and door industry. Interest in travel and outside sales management welcome!

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Servicing customer inquiries through email and phone including pricing, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any other information requested by the customer.
• Data entry in ERP system, navigate the system to answer customer questions relating to product, pricing and/or orders.
• Create and maintain MS Excel files.
• Expediting and coordination of order fulfillment to include communications with materials, production, and/or warehouse personnel.
• Participate in product training sessions in order to gain the knowledge of the product mechanics, how the components work together, and installation.
• Recommend hardware options and prepare quotations
• Provide technical assistance to customers, trouble-shooting product concerns.

Requirements for this position include:

• Ability to multi-task, staying organized while adapting to changes in the work environment.
• Minimum of two years of experience in customer service with at least 1 with a mechanical product offering. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent communications skills required, both written and verbal.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to manage basic mathematical function such as calculate percentages and discounts and convert imperial measurements to metric.
• Read technical drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP system, a plus.
• A mechanical aptitude to fully learn and understand our highly technical product line.
• Prior experience in the door and window hardware is a definite plus.
