REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE
ITS Parts Automation and Fortville Feeders, Inc. are hiring a regional sales representative. This role reports to the president of the company and is responsible for attaining sales results within Michigan, Northern Indiana and Northern Ohio for our automation components.
Job Purpose
The job purpose is to promote our company's automation products to end users and automation integrators who use part conveyance, orientation, feeding, joining and marking equipment in the production of their components.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
These are the duties and responsibilities assigned to the role of sales.
- Time management for daily, weekly, and yearly planning and reporting.
- Interface with existing CRM software for planning, sales calls, quotations and orders.
- Represent and demonstrate the differentiated capabilities of our products.
- Face-to-face relationship building with our prospects, customers and suppliers.
- Achievement of stated product sales goals
- Participation in our industry-related trade shows and promotional activities.
- Provide directions to other individuals for quotations and order completion.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
These are the “minimum” level of qualifications for an individual to be productive and successful in this role.
Education - Technical College degree or equivalent.
Experience - Five years of industry-related sales experience with a proven track record.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -
- Sufficient familiarity with part automation. Knowledge of basic principles and terminology and understanding and solving simple problems.
- Our work calls for comprehension of standard part orientation, conveyance, assembly and marking techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of part feeding and handling automation is beneficial.
The successful candidate will have exposure to modern part orientation, conveyance, feeding and marking techniques. They will be required to communicate internally and externally via computer, employ creative thinking, be customer concentric, and have logical thinking and multi-tasking skills. Negotiation and problem-solving are critical for success.
Working Conditions
The daily activities of this role are field-based, in the face of the customer. Regional travel is required, but this position is remote. You will be required to attend occasional factory-based training and occasionally attend a customer product demonstration or run-off.

- You may be temporarily exposed to higher noise when in a plant.
- Physical effort, lifting to 20 pounds; medium.
- We work when our customers are at work.
- Occasional after-hour communication
- Travel required within the assigned regional territory and overnight.
