Full description of the position

Kansas City Deaerator (KCD) is a supplier of deaerators, pressure vessels, pump skids and specialty boiler equipment. Our installed customer base includes many Fortune 500 Companies. We have customers and installations worldwide and our equipment is used in a variety of industries.

KCD has fabrication partners located all over the world and we work together to provide superior designs, products and services to meet the needs of our customers.

We are looking for a professional self-motivated individual to join our team as a Contract Administrator / Sales Coordinator. In this position, you will help our team maintain excellent customer and vendor relationships. Being a primary point of contact between our customers and our Sales Department, you will ensure that communication throughout the sales process is effective, timely and accurate.

In this position, you will:

  • Coordinate Sales activities with our Sales Department and Customer Buyers
  • Maintain and manage all relative documents for the inquiry, our proposal and our bid packages.
  • Work with the Sales Engineer to gather and submit all required submittal information for the bid package.
  • Submit and follow up on completed sales proposals, customer questions and terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and assist with negotiating incoming purchase orders and sales contracts. This includes analyzing potential risks and negotiating agreeable terms and conditions.
  • After a proposal becomes a successful project, you will act as liaison on commercial matters related to the purchase order.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience as a Contract Administrator or relevant role.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Detail oriented, having superior abilities to identify errors, omissions and discrepancies
  • Experience with MS Office (especially Excel and Word)

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of contract law, legal experience.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing, engineering or fabrication environment.
  • Marketing experience
  • 2-4 year degree is desirable but not required; your work experience can make a big impact on your level of qualification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
