SUMMARY
Our Customer Service Representatives provide excellent customer service to policyholders, prospects, agents and coworkers. Customer Service Representatives assist policy holders and producers with appropriate insurance solutions and policy service through omnichannel such as phone, email, chat, and any other means.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned as required from time to time):
- Customer Service Representatives are the primary support for our independent agents and clients.
- CSR’s take the lead and/or assist agents in the sales process, customer service, policy processing, binding, billing, and collections.
- Assists customers over the phone, through email, and other forms of communication, which may include making decisions on adjustments to policy holder accounts.
- Obtain quotes from multiple markets to ascertain the best coverage at the best price for our customers.
- Ensure efficient document management.
- Review all insurance policies, endorsements, and invoices for accuracy
- Process and mail or email various notices to policyholders
- Quote on carrier sites if not able to use Commercial Lines (CL) Rater and/or Personal Lines (PL) Rater
- Perform remarketing of CL and/or PL with different carriers
- Process renewals for CL and/or PL
- Process new business quotes for agents with different carriers
- Download documents from various carrier sites and various portals
- Replies to Commercial Lines (auto, general liability, property, etc.) and/or PL general information requests
- Manage the completion of policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations including quotation and negotiation
- Increase coverage or adds additional coverage to policies within authority limit
- Review policy holder exposures and promote additional coverages where appropriate
- Updates the Agency Management System (AMS) accordingly
- Build a knowledge base of the jewelry and commercial business industry, insurance coverages requirements
- Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities and assists in the development and maintenance of written procedures and forms as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Some college or college degree preferred; 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. General insurance and jewelry industry knowledge preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft suite applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Must be proficient (or be able to become proficient in a short space of time) with AMS360.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Property/Casualty Insurance Agents License (2-20 or 4-40 License). Continuing education as required to maintain license.
