Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Sales Representative

Reports To: Store Manager

Parrish Tire Location: Greensboro, NC

Job Summary:
The Commercial Sales Representative will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with commercial customer base and helping them to meet all of their tire and service needs. Employees in this position must be able to regularly acquire new business and close deals with existing clients.

Essential Functions and Tasks:

  • Promote PTC products and services to both current and target account customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, and industry trends and standards.
  • Ensure completion of open work orders.
  • Contact customers with past due accounts. Store Manager/Credit Manager will share aging and past due information.
  • Strive to increase market penetration with both new and existing accounts.
  • Follow all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL.
  • Perform fleet inspections and present results to customer.
  • Prospect for new accounts and sales opportunities.
  • Establish forecast for sales and gross profit.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales and gross profit quotas.
  • Review each customer account to maximize customer service.
  • Prepare daily itinerary (if requested).
  • Present daily call reports (if requested).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager including: quarterly inventory counts, attending training seminars, helping in other departments, assisting with training of new sales personnel and delivery of products.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a service related industry
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in data entry and retrieval (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, basic internet skills)

Work Environment:

  • Majority of work will be performed indoors, but the Sales Representative will be required to visit customers and perform fleet inspections regardless of weather conditions.
  • Due to customer's demands and the nature of our business, overtime work is sometimes required and expected as needed.
