Express Employment Professionals West Des Moines is actively recruiting a Service Agent to join a local company's team.

We are looking for a full-time Personal Lines Service Representative/Agent. We believe in investing in our employees and helping them achieve success. Our agency represents the top insurance companies in the Midwest and we take great pride in providing an outstanding customer service experience for our clients. We are a mid-size agency where our employees have an opportunity to grow in a warm and inviting work environment with a private office, kitchenette, workout equipment and dining area.

This position requires a dedicated, driven, goal-oriented personality.

You must be detail-oriented and committed to following the processes we have established.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven work experience in customer service in an office setting

• Excellent phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills

• Windows based computer skills, Outlook, PL rater and Carrier rater experience, agency management software experience

• Willingness to learn and be intuitive to insurance issues

• Positive and enthusiastic attitude

• Ability to multi task, follow through and follow up

• Confidence, a self-starter who works well independently

• Ability to exceed current and prospective client expectations

• Problem solving capabilities

• Works well with other employees and is a team player

Our office is looking for the right individual to join our company operations. That individual will be responsible to provide exceptional customer service to our clients and will work to cultivate new customers from call-in prospects.

Insurance industry or agency experience preferred but not required. Commercial lines experience also preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Process customer policy change requests.

• Secure all trailing documents from customers.

• Handle incoming calls.

• Greet customers and help them determine insurance needs.

• Treat customer contact as a cross sell opportunity for all lines of insurance.

• Verify phone numbers, addresses and email addresses for all customers.

• Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of client retention.
