Job Title: Citrus Salesperson

Department: Sales and Marketing

Supervised by: Vice President of Program Sales

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary:

The Citrus Salesperson is responsible for persuading customers to buy the client product in accordance with sales goals and targets. He/she interacts with growers, shippers, and customers across a range of commodities to grow their book of business. The Citrus Salesperson builds and maintains strategic relationships across retail, foodservice, and wholesale markets.

Essential Duties:

• Be a respectable brand ambassador of Worldwide

• Create, implement, and achieve sales goals and objectives

• Be knowledgeable about Worldwide products

• Identify and target prospective new customers

• Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs

• Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements

• Collaborate with the whole Sales and Marketing team to achieve strategic goals

• Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships

Additional Responsibilities:

• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years' experience in produce sales and marketing

• Knowledge of Florida Citrus and Imported Citrus with a true pulse on the market

• Retail, foodservice, and/or wholesale market relationships

• Customer, supplier, and logistics relationships

• Track-record of sales success

• A passion for produce and working in the agricultural industry

• Strategic mindset, creative problem-solving skills, and a high degree of proactive resourcefulness

• Excellent negotiation skills

• Above-average time management skills and the ability to multi-task

• Knowledge of and experience with PACA rules and how to manage business accordingly

• Strong computer skills, including (but not limited to) Microsoft Office 365

Desired Qualifications:

• Existing book of produce business

• Proficient in Famous ERP Systems

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Work is performed predominately in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must be able to physically navigate an office environment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
