We are all part of the solution. Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Field Account Manager to cover Knoxville, TN. This role will support Cordant’s integrated laboratory and pharmacy offering in this geography. As a part of our growing and dynamic team, the Field Account Manager will be responsible for managing new and existing customer relationships with specified accounts in their geography. The Field Account Manager will work with their sales counterpart to onboard new clients and build strong relationships with these clients from a basis of excellent service. This includes being the main point of contact for clients and handling day-to-day issues that arise with the account including clinical questions, operational questions and issues around Cordant’s pharmacy program, issues or concerns around submitting requisitions, prescriptions or receiving reports, and educating the physicians and staff on our total offering and all new offerings. This position will meet regularly with the account, including physicians and all other staff members. As you will be covering the entire state, reliable transportation and a willingness to do overnight travel as needed is critical for this role. The Field Account Manager is expected to be out in the field with customers 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday most weeks. Overnight travel can be as high as 50%-75% some weeks.

The Field Account Manager will also play a key role in growing the territory, working directly with Sales Manager, Sales Reps and Internal Sales resources to call on new business opportunities, generate leads and continue to market and grow the pharmacy and laboratories’ reputation and market share.

The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with occasional nights and weekends if needed. This position starts with a salary between $65,000-$75,000, based on experience, along with commission.
Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Efficient territory planning and management including pre-call planning and routing.
  • Identifying growth opportunities within their current book of business including upselling new tests and products or taking away business from a competitor.
  • Secure your book of business by providing a high level of service, creating electronic connectivity with the clients, and promoting Cordant's complete offering.
  • Proactively prepare for and be aware of competitive tactics.
  • Assisting with the on boarding process along with internal partners.
  • Managing relationships with stakeholders in other functional areas.
  • Maintain a productive relationship with Internal Sales, Customer Service, Sales Operations, and Lab Operations resources.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of all our product offerings.
  • A thorough understanding of the implementation process including account set up, IT set up, customer service support, and lab operations.
  • Develop and present to management a business plan (quarterly) that takes into account territory specific factors and company initiatives that will produce new business growth and help retain existing clients.
  • Operate in accordance with our corporate compliance training. Maintain a strict adherence to legal and compliance guidelines.
  • Utilize the company’s CRM as required. Including logging daily sales activity and maintaining an up to date pipeline.
  • Accurately forecast new business wins and accounts that may be at risk of leaving.
  • Complete necessary reports as is required.
  • Attend sales meetings and trainings as required.
  • FAMs are expected to stay up to date on current and relevant topics within healthcare that could have an impact on our industry.
  • Understanding of territory specific health plan policies that may present advantages or disadvantages to Cordant and our clients.
  • Other duties that may be assigned in the future.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Ability to interact at all levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Business, Marketing or Communications, highly preferred
  • 2+ years outside sales or account management experience (client facing), required
  • Needs to be physically located in or near the territory that will be assigned, or willing to relocate
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, preferred
