Precision Plumbing & Heating Systems, Inc. has an opening for a Facility Maintenance technician to join our team of professional individuals.

Experience Required in these areas:

• Facilities maintenance experience on heating, cooling and plumbing
• Interacting with the public in a respectful and professional manner
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Proven ability to make repairs in a residential environment
• General knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and electrical trades
• Mechanically inclined
• Experience with efficiently and successfully evaluating a situation and finding long term solutions

Job Functions:

• Determines defects, diagnose repairs, and maintains heating, water, and drainage systems in residential and light commercial environments
• Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, water heaters and hot water tanks
• Mends or replaces burst or leaky pipes
• Tests joints, valves, and pipe systems for leaks
• Opens clogged drains
• Measures, cuts, threads, bends, reams, and installs pipe and pipe fittings
• Uses plumbers’ tools such as snakes, wrenches, plungers, pipe threaders, etc.
• Inspects hvac systems for minor repairs
• Maintains residential heating systems
• Maintains knowledge of local codes
• Backflow/Cross Connection experience
• This position is a full-time position with some overtime as needed
• Occasional on-call availability may be required

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience in plumbing, or hvac
• Clean driving record and current driver license
• Able to pass a drug screening and background check
• Able to ascend and descend ladders
• Proven ability to communicate value of work to clients
• Willing to work in crawl spaces
• A natural propensity to trouble shoot and problem solve
• Strong mechanical reasoning skills
• Able to occasionally carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable learning and teaching clients how to operate smart technology
• Confident utilizing technology during client interaction
• Experienced in offering an exceptional customer experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school certification or workplace equivalent in plumbing, hvac and/or electrical
• EPA Certification (or desire to commit to pursuing this within 1 year)
• NATE Certification (or desire to commit to pursuing this within 1 year)
• 3+ years of troubleshooting HVAC and Plumbing experience
• A positive and helpful "super hero" approach to customer care

Salary Range: $40,000 – 70,000 plus bonuses

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
