Full description of the position

Prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining, growing, and servicing new and existing accounts. The position ensures high-quality customer service, including rapid response to all inquiries and on-time delivery according to customer specifications. Additionally, sell, or encourage customers to purchase additional related products and services, as well as support the Outside Sales Representative in qualifying and opening new accounts. Other responsibilities include managing the order writing process, coordinating related outside processing, trouble shooting for potential problems, assisting in rectifying problems and claims, and soliciting feedback from customers on products, services, pricing and overall performance.

Sales / Estimator Job Duties:

· Communicate with customers to understand needs and clearly define needs to Metro’s essential personnel.

· Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

· Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

· Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements and inputs that information into the ERP system (Global Shop Solutions).

· Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

· Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.

· Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Estimator Skills and Qualifications:

College Education, 2 years of estimating and sales experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
