We are Grapevine Distributors, family-owned and one of NC's oldest wine importers and distributors. We represent some of the most renowned and respected names in the wine world (Joseph Drouhin, Bollinger, Haut-Brion, Vega Sicilia, La Spinetta, Mount Eden, Merry Edwards, Patricia Green, Ken Wright)

Sales Representative to work and grow the Guilford, Alamance area with the territory expanding into Randolph, Moore, Lee, and Rockingham area. We are looking for an energetic, independent person for Route Sales, limited Deliveries, and Merchandising in the assigned territory.
**This position requires a self-starter attitude and the ability to operate with minimal supervision… it is also driving intense/heavy.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

The purpose of the Sales Representative is to provide our customers with exemplary service, create relationships, be dependable and dedicated, and take the initiative of your sales territory while maintaining the integrity of the Grapevine values with a positive attitude

Responsibilities:

• Develop a sales and marketing plan to sell the wines and CBD products represented by Grapevine within the assigned territory
• Meet established weekly, monthly, and yearly goals
• Cold call existing and new restaurants, wine shops, Grocery outlets, and CBD accounts within the territory to develop new business
• Monitor growth and opportunities within the territory with the use of weekly and monthly reporting tools
• Communicate in an extremely timely manner with customers, the office, and management
• Coordinate and conduct supplier ride-withs, in-store tastings, wine dinners, charity events, and staff training
• Work with the accounting department to resolve payment issues within the territory
• Work with the warehouse to coordinate product delivery, including assisting with deliveries during holidays, short weeks, and staffing shortages
• Attend team and company meetings when required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Prefer at least two years of experience in the fine wine market
• Knowledge of the wine-growing regions and grapes of France, Spain, and Italy
• Be at least 21 years old with a valid NC driver’s license and insurance
• Proven customer service skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Goal oriented
• Able to work with little supervision

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• May require lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45lbs
• Able to work occasional weekends as required
