JOB SUMMARY:

The Account Specialist (Packaging) develops and nurtures customer relationships to capture and manage sales to increase profitability within the Packaging division, from initial client contact through order completion.

This is a remote position but must be near one of the following locations: West Orlando, FL, North Houston, TX, or the Greater Montgomery, AL area.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with customers to discover their needs, create value propositions, and build solutions to custom fit their needs
• Prospect potential new customer relationships from a variety of areas, including external promotional/marketing activities, leads via contact management resources, etc.
• Revive established customer relationships through reach-out and follow-up activities
• Manage customer accounts assigned from a variety of market segments, including regional area, industry, or specific product
• Collaborate with appropriate internal departments to assist sales and marketing processes, including accounting, customer experience, procurement, marketing, etc.
• Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to maintain data integrity by accurately documenting and tracking sales and customer activities
• Create daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity plans to obtain established goals
• Become a subject matter expert of all our Packaging products
• Assist with in-store promotions, product testing, etc., as requested by customer
• Assist with tradeshows, as needed
• Other duties or projects as assigned by Director of Sales

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; High school or equivalent degree required

· 3-5 years of experience in a sales support or customer service role, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution company

· Genuine desire and drive to create solutions in a humble and genuine manner required

· Knowledge of sales techniques and sales systems required

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office required

· Experience working in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred; experience working in NetSuite is ideal

· Competencies utilized: active listening, critical thinking, decision making, negotiation, persuasion, communication, service orientation, problem solving, time management, attention to detail

· 20% domestic travel may be required

· Applicants chosen for employment will be required to submit to a criminal background check and drug screening

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
