Personal Lines Producer – Property and Casualty

Overview

This full-time inbound sales position is responsible for taking new online and phone call leads provided by our multiple marketing channels. Our sales specialists ask qualifying questions to determine the best coverage and pricing options before presenting and closing new business. This role is fast paced and requires quick thinking, the ability to follow specific processes, while at the same time overcoming objections to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Handles all inbound sales opportunities from call ins, referral partners, affinity relationships, and online leads.
• Prospects company generated lead lists via warm lead transfers as needed.
• Takes initial application and enters information into our company comparative rating system.
• Finishes quote(s) per company guidelines and prepares a personalized quote proposal.
• Presents insurance options to prospect via phone and email.
• Enters and keeps up to date active prospects and new clients in company CRM.
• Establishes rapport and asks open ended discovery questions.
• Discovers and presents cross sale opportunities.
• Assists in gathering all information needed to bind and finish closing new accounts.
• Meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
• Keeps up to date on new insurance carrier offerings and training.
• Is punctual and maintains a good workplace attendance record.
• Documents all material conversations with insureds and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages.
• Assists in maintaining relationships with referral partners.
• Performs other functions as determined by management including service-oriented tasks when needed to assist in delivering overall satisfaction to our clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must have active Iowa personal lines license or the ability to obtain with 30 days of hire
• 1-3 years of sales experience is preferred.
• Must possess ability to use personal computer, calculator, agency management system, and proficiency in various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Fast-paced office setting with a multi-tasking work environment. Ability to be a part of a progressive team is vital.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
