General Summary: The account manager is an asset of the operation; you will work hand and hand

with your operations manager and fleet managers to ensure that every unit is plan accordingly to

maximize their productivity. You should have a talent for multi-tasking, with excellent communication and

customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

Operations related:

• Build strong relationships with customers by staying in constant communication to ensure day to day

and long-term needs are met

• Manage customer expectations and provide exceptional customer service

• Work with the operations team on successful opportunities to ensure accuracy in our pricing program

• Participate in rate matrix reviews to ensure profitability and competitiveness for key accounts

• Participate in rate calculations, report preparation and customer presentations for all bids

• Ensure customer commitments are met, working with internal teams, and executing operational task

as needed

• Identify, manage, and build new business relationship in the various markets

• Consult with clients to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support

• Searching and booking of loads on various loads boards

• Provide customers with shipping quotes

• Provide on time tracking information and update customers on the status of shipments, and assisting

with other inquiries

• Collaborate with shippers, over the road and local dispatchers to manage scheduled collections and

drop-offs

• Maintaining current knowledge of market trends and rates in transportation.

• Communicates in a clear and consistent manner and with high integrity.

• Receives load tenders from customers.

• Accurately builds orders received from our customers in International Transportation Services, Inc.

dispatch system (Mcleod)

• Maintaining existing and developing new business from our customer base.

• Tracks various loads in SAMSARA and Mcleod to ensure on time delivery.

• Communicates directly with customers when the order is received to the final delivery, also reports

any delay that occurs during transit in a timely manner

• Strong organization and time management skills are essential.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
