Full Time Position – Sales Executive
Location – Stirling, NJ
SDG (System Design Group) is an established Security and Fire Protection / Alarm Systems Technology firm with multiple locations throughout NJ and the surrounding areas. Our custom commercial securitysystems include professional service & installation of Intrusion Alarms, Fire Alarm systems, Access Control systems, Video Surveillance& Data Storage, Cloud Integration, and more.
We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our Dutchess group located in Stirling NJ. Contributing to the commercial success of the Dutchess business unit, you will work side by side with the operations manager of the business unit. The role consists of producing qualified leads, developing professional client relationships, selling well designed systems, meeting revenue targets, and generating a high degree of customer satisfaction/retention/growth, thereby facilitating the success of the group.
Job Description/Responsibilities
· Maintain, organize and track all leads and proposals efficiently.
· Respond to requests for proposals and prepare presentations for sales opportunities.
· Prepare and execute a sales plan to develop prospects.
· Develop monthly and quarterly sales forecasting reports based on the projected sales quota.
· Complete a set of cold calls on a daily basis.
· Develop and expand the current customer base with sales and company promotions.
· Promote product knowledge by setting up meetings and delivering product demonstrations to customers.
· Follow up on proposals and promotions both verbally and in writing.
· Meet with prospects and cultivate a problem-solving, team approach to the sale.
· Qualify all prospects to close the sale.
· Possess a working understanding of intrusion alarm systems, with knowledge of fire alarm, access control and video surveillance systems.
· Possess an understanding of the industry, competition and current trends.
· Join local organizations and attend local business functions for networking purposes.
· Attend industry sponsored events and educating local professionals and authorities on new codes, products and standards as possible.
· Develop relationships with architects, engineers and consultants.
· Work as a team with office and field staff to develop leads, increase communication and promote job efficiency.
· Interface with the sales, office and technical team in a professional and personable manner.

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the commercial alarm systems industry (especially fire alarm).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in outside sales and evidence of success and growth.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and overall computer literacy including email, file management, etc.
- Sales professionals holding NICET or other industry certifications or licenses are encouraged to apply, although this is not a requirement for the position.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, polite persistence, sense of urgency, and analytical skills required. Must be comfortable with cold calling.
- Knowledge of the SedonaOffice software application is a huge plus but not required.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently as well as in an integrated team environment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and good driving record.
