Overall Responsibility: Day to day support of complex opportunities that require sales engineering assistance. While the requests my come from sales partners, sales leadership, or other internal employees, it’s imperative that we act as an engineer on our partner’s behalf, helping to support the complex sales process both remotely and in person. It’s also critical that this person track, report on, and manage their opportunity funnel to ultimately drive revenue.
Key areas of Responsibility:
- Drive company revenue growth by improving agent performance monthly and working to enhance opportunities.
- Maintain healthy and positive working relationship with all agents
- Contact, build, and maintain working relationships with supplier contacts in local regions
- Log and communicate registered opportunities for Channel Manager follow-up
- Proactively monitor provisioning statuses and address/escalate as needed
- Manage sales numbers and track opportunities in Salesforce
- Identify needs for agent training and schedule appropriately within region
- Train and keep up to date with emerging carrier products/services
- Train new hires on specific technologies
- Ability to identify security opportunities
- Ability to identify cloud infrastructure opportunities
- Ability to identify & architect network opportunities
- Ability to identify & architect SDWAN opportunities
- Ability to identify Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) opportunities
- Ability to identify Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) opportunities
- Lead discovery calls with customers on partners behalf and uncover any opportunities
- Prepare and deliver engaging technical presentations
- Be able to confidently navigate a room and present to and sell to executive teams
Qualifications:
- Effective communicator via phone and email
- Effective listener
- Energetic and engaging presenter
- Ability to ask probing questions in a conversational manner
- Must have a positive attitude
- Ability to manage multiple projects and identify/address individual issues
- Display ability to think critically through issues to identify an appropriate solution
- Maintain a role of ethics and honesty
- Requires one industry certification achieved per year
- Previous telecom, cloud, and/or security sales experience
- Ability to travel as needed
- Technical industry certifications preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
