Full description of the position

We are looking for a dedicated Insurance Agent to generate new business by connecting with potential customers. You will sell, solicit, differentiate and negotiate insurance plans that match the needs of your assigned or prospective customers' portfolio.

Insurance Agent Responsibilities Include:

• Developing marketing strategies and promoting various types of new insurance contracts or suggest additions and/or changes to existing ones.
• Breeding productive relationships to create a pool of prospective clients from various sources by networking, using referrals and leads, cold calling, etc.
• Evaluating businesses or individual customers' needs and financial status and proposing protection plans that meet their criteria.

Requirements and Skills:

• Experience as an Insurance Agent or relevant experience.
• Familiarity with all types of insurance plans (mainly Property and Casualty- automobile, fire, life, property, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence and sell effectively.
• Facilitate client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting client-company relationships.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• NYS P&C Insurance License.*

*Preferred, but not mandatory.

Pay: From $32,000.00 per year
