GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision from the President, this position is responsible for the direct sales, marketing, and customer service activities for Integrity Builders & Supply Inc. To be successful in this position, a strong ability to sell, interact, communicate, think creatively, establish, and maintain interpersonal relationships with supervisors, peers, subordinates, customers, and potential customers is a must. This position requires organization, planning, and prioritizing. The focus of this position will be located primarily in Iowa, Western Illinois, and Northeastern Missouri.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of products, services, or other subjects of sale
Achieve consistent growth in sales and gross margin, in accordance with sales budgets
Leveraging current industry relationships and the development of new prospects
Ensure sales are successfully completed with involvement at each stage of the sales and construction process
Identify and qualify prospective customers
Developing and advancing sales projects for new and existing customers
Advise dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business
Confer with potential customers on equipment needs and advise types of equipment to purchase
Assess marketing potential of new and existing store locations, considering statistics and expenditures
Closing the sale and implementing the start-up
Direct, coordinate, and review activities in sales
Work with estimating team to prepare budgets and proposals
Evaluation of potential products, technologies, or resources
Identifying and resolving concerns
Confer or consult with department heads to services and to secure information on equipment and customer specifications
Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products
Resolution of customer complaints or issues
Ability to build and develop teams with by training and teaching
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree is required; Preferably in Animal Science or Agriculture field
5 year’s previous sales experience in the animal agricultural industry
Marketing and customer service skills
Ability to maintain and increase sales volume with established accounts and aggressively seek large, new swine customers
Ability to represent the company in external relations
Knowledge of construction, equipment, animal health, nutrition, production supplies, genetics, and a strong industry database of relationships. Production experience in a modern swine production system would be a bonus
Prior experience in managing projects to a successful completion
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A high degree of energy, outgoing, hardworking, self-motivated, and possess a strong interpersonal skill
Willingness and ability to travel overnight
Proficiency with computer operation, including use of Outlook, Teams, Google products, and Microsoft Office products
Must possess a valid driver’s license, post-offer background check and drug screen will be required
