Director of Account Management

We are looking for an experienced Director of Account Management to join our fast-growing team. The Director of Account Management will be responsible for overall profitability for the correctional line of business. In addition, this role will have responsibility for building a rapport with customers and executing new sales relationships while expanding revenue. The Director will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of his/her accounts and interacting with operations to drive usage of our program. S/he will have responsibilities of contract expansion, renewals, and account management activities; strategic planning, and ensure, reporting, implementation and service delivery are meeting and exceeding client expectations. The Director will work in collaboration with internal Operations, Finance, Product and Marketing teams. S/he will be responsible for creating and maintaining senior and executive relationships with our clients, and ensure executive relationships are cultivated for new sales opportunities.

Client Responsibilities:

  • Nurture and develop overall business relationships with current clients.
  • Establish and improve positive strategic relationships with key client contacts.
  • Elevate and broaden client relationships with customers.
  • Assist in increasing utilization in correctional facilities across the United States.
  • Research and understand dynamics in customer’s market and regulatory environment such as with State and Federal Department of Corrections.
  • Identifies opportunities and proposes solutions in internal processes and systems that directly impact customer service and retention.
  • Effectively provides oversight and management of service deliverables. Quickly resolve escalated issues.
  • Maintain Quarterly Business Review meetings with our clients by effectively preparing and delivering in a professional manner.

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Develop sale opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new clients, building rapport, and providing virtual and in-person presentations
  • Pursue new sales opportunities using consultative selling practices to uncover issues related to the customers’ needs and proactively identify how our product solves customer issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor's sales activities and general competitive intelligence.
  • Tailors sales strategy to the need and audience, based on in-depth knowledge of customer.
  • Manage entire sales cycle from prospecting, acquiring new customers, and onboarding them to our program.
  • Appropriate and timely follow up. Updates Salesforce with current sales status.
  • Projects a credible professional image with polish and poise. Demonstrates subject matter expertise. Handles questions well in highly visible challenging situations
  • Participate in exhibitions or conferences
  • Manage, track, and report client and sales activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health administration, or related discipline preferred.
  • Experience in the corrections industry and with healthcare companies providing care to correctional facilities
  • 10+ years' experience working as an account executive. This experience will be predominately in account management, prior sales experience a plus.
  • Business acumen and work experience within federal, state, and local governments, as that work relates to correctional facility
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and to develop unique client focused solutions based on strong understanding of client business challenges and needs.
  • Skillful negotiator with experience in conflict resolution.
  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to build, grow, validate, and maintain a pipeline of personally identified and qualified opportunities
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with strong customer facing skills.
  • Ability to travel as business needs required (up to 50%).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and effective presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to assess, adapt, and deliver results in changing environments
  • High energy, charismatic, and innovative leader who operates with a daily sense of urgency
  • Ability to learn new tools and develop processes to support business needs
  • Computer skills including proficiency using MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
