SUMMARY
As the Technical Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in the review and assessment of the company’s most complex technical accounting matters. You’ll assist business partners in making informed decisions relating to critical accounting policies, including stock compensation, revenue recognition, and impairment analysis, as well as perform a detailed review of significant contracts to determine the related accounting consequences. You will perform quality and timely SEC and technical analysis, including preparation of conclusion memos to be presented to management and outside auditors. You will also be responsible to research SEC filing best practices and propose recommendations. Additionally, you will prepare, review, and analyze ad- hoc reporting requested by senior management. Success involves working with a diverse
international team and delivering on strategic decisions and improvements within the finance organization to facilitate continued fast-paced growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare technical memos on complex technical accounting issues
  • Provide financial guidance on technical accounting and financial reporting issues
  • Develop, enhance, implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks of the business
  • Lead the implementation of new accounting standards
  • Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Act as the owner of equity and stock-based compensation accounting
  • Participate in system implementations, other special projects, and other accounting responsibilities as needed

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in: public accounting, including experience auditing publicly traded global corporations, or corporate experience at global, publicly traded growth companies in technical accounting/reporting roles.
  • Internal and/or external SEC reporting experience in a corporate environment
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication. Ability to translate complex issues into simple and easy-to-understand terms
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong technical accounting skills and experiences
  • Ability to quickly adapt to unexpected changes in timelines, deadlines, and scope of work
  • Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced and continually improving the environment, with ownership of processes from beginning to completion
