Every Man Jack is a leader in the natural men’s grooming space in the United States, with a presence across major national retailers like Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, and Amazon. Born at the base of Mt. Tam in Marin County, CA, the company’s Base Camp is in Mill Valley, CA, just north of the Golden Gate bridge. THE ROLE: SENIOR SALES MANAGER
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in their respective region and channels for Every Man Jack™. A proactive attitude and the ability to deliver consistently within a values-driven company with frequently evolving priorities is crucial to the role. Under supervision of the Senior Sales Director, the Senior Sales Manager oversees our brokers and direct reps and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with the company vision and values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
- Contribute to sales strategy and ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability in region.
- Own broker and distributor relationships and lead account management for key retailers in region, including preparation of presentations.
- Leverage analytical skills to identify distribution and display opportunities based on gaps and competitive activity to effectively build selling stories to drive growth.
- Travel as necessary for key retailer meetings with Broker leads to grow sales and secure new distribution for Every Man Jack.
- Collaborate with other Sales Directors, Managers, and Sales Planning Directors to grow topline sales and build brand together.
- Provide timely feedback on performance and other initiative updates.
- Promote Every Man Jack’s purpose to inspire men to take care of themselves and connect to the world around them by living the EMJ values and considering the social and environmental impact of all business decisions that you own or support.
FORECASTING & PLANNING
- Lead development of forecasts by item / by month / by customer or distributor, utilizing information from POS and order data analysis, coupled with business updates.
- Develop annual shipment plan [internal] and consumption plan [external] with known headwinds, tailwinds and stretch upsides.
- Manage trade spend budget annually while driving growth to meet plan.

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-10+ years of significant sales experience in a fast-paced sales environment in CPG personal care preferred but not mandatory
- A natural problem solver at heart with a genuine interest in learning by helping
- Incredibly bright, high-drive individual, with a passion to learn, contribute and take initiative
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and ability to excel in remote sales environment with limited oversight
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight timeframes and deadlines
- Ability to assess data, integrate into selling stories and leverage it to grow our business
- Proven track record of delivering consistent positive business results
- Strong technical skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Google suite and other required computer applications

HOURS: Full Time, Exempt, Salaried
MANAGER: Sr. Sales Director
