Prologis Essentials is creating the most convenient way for our logistic customers to get the products, services, and support they need to get operational fast. We are building a world class network of high-quality vendor partners beyond the traditional four walls of real estate. With a network that began with solar, LED lighting, material handling and everyday services, our product line continues to evolve with industrial products, workforce solutions, and robotics.
We need to hire a North America VP of Sales Operations to define and deliver success within our new venture. If you’re excited to be part of our new team working with executives across the company, this is the right opportunity for you!
In this role, you’ll be responsible for continuing to build out the B2B sales support team that provides deal desk and sales best in class sales process to our sales team and broader organization.
You will use data to deliver insights and implications and provide thought leadership on the potential actions that will result in the highest impact. You have the ability to analyze and diagnose complex technical and process sales challenges and formulate out of the box solutions. Develop and scale a world calls sales support team, process and toolkit.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving sales operations focused on enhancing the efficacy of our sales team and product performance. You will continue to build exceptional technical aptitude, leadership skills and business acumen. You will be able to generate high-impact ideas, clearly prioritize workloads, manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.
What’s needed in order to do that:
- Provide strategic oversight to the design and implementation of business processes and enablement that build business capabilities and drive growth while ensuring effective collaboration and minimize role or responsibility confusion
- Develop strategies for improving sales performance through targeted sales team, pipeline management and increased win rate on lead generation
- Works closely with senior sales leadership to define the optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure success including sales reports and other internal intelligence is provided to the sales teams
- Oversee systems, data administration and recommend tools to improve data quality, analysis, and reporting
- Stand up and scale an inside sales team to handle the closing small deals that constitute 80% of our deal count into a core capability for Essentials
- Enable margin expansion by developing pricing mechanisms based on product market fit, customer demand and performance through standing up a pricing and proposal desk
- Integrate Marketplace by developing the strategy and process to drive further efficiency in small deals
- Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, business operations, finance and other stakeholders to share insights and centralize information
- Partner with leadership to strategize, operationalize, and analyze the impact of business initiatives
Tell us if you are Ready?
- 10+ years of B2B experience and proven experience building and leading a sales organization
- People Leadership: 5+ years managing a team
- Bachelor's degree preferable
- Proven ability to lead and scale Sales Operations of significant scope through growth periods
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally to identify and solve common business issues, develop steps in improving processes, and implement to ensure future success
- Experience in problem solving to analyze, set priorities, and solve complex problems effectively and consistently
- Passionate about helping organizations understand and solve large scale business challenges through reporting, analytics and streamlining operational efforts
- Deep expertise of sales roles and principles
- Results orientated with strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize multiple objectives while meeting aggressive deadlines
- Excellent people leader, coach and communicator, with a team development focus.
- A general understanding of Industrial Real Estate a plus
- Enthusiastic, outgoing personality, strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hiring Salary Range of: $185,000-$240,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
