National Account Sales Representative

Exciting opportunity to help build our company! We are growing Optec LED Lighting...from a startup technology company that manufactures premium exterior LED fixtures...to a major player competing against the top brands in the lighting marketplace! We are seeking a person with an entrepreneurial spirit and excellent interpersonal skills to work with our national account sales team.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of our Vice President of Sales, this position will learn the company from every angle; and then provide sales support to work with outside sales for the lighting company. Total training will include travel within the US and will be focused on national account sales and direct calls to major large customers. This individual will help maintain existing customer relations and develop rapport and new business with existing and new clients in our lighting division; as well as participate in national trade shows. This individual will act as a sales expert in communicating our product attributes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities listed below once the sales training process is completed (timeframe TBD). • Act as a primary sales contact for national accounts and major client opportunities, meetings, trade events and direct customer presentations.

• Seeks and finds new opportunities to increase sales growth of the lighting company.

• Works with the sales and quotes team to deliver quotations, sales opportunities, demos, purchase orders and follow up through the entire sales process to finalize job and 100% customer satisfaction.

• Provides project management and stays involved with all facets of the job to maintain customer relationships and ongoing sales.

• Assists in field photography database and helps/assists Optec’s PR/media relations team with support materials and information for project briefs, case studies , website data and sales collateral.

• Attends and participates in sales meetings, national account trade shows. regional /national customer event shows, training seminars and potentially become involved with national account committees.

• Grow the national account sales of Optec LED Lighting.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required (College Graduate: Business Administration, Finance or Marketing is preferred).

• Minimum of 2 years sales work experience (inside or outside).

• Ability to quickly learn sales, competitors’ product cross reference and manufacturing processes.

• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Great communication and people skills.

• Passionate about the lighting industry, the company they work for and the products they represent.

• Travel approximately 50% USA only.

Working Conditions

The working environment is clean and well lit. This individual will have their own workstation or cubicle space and are equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer. Most of the time will be spent sitting, typing, talking with reps, and looking at a computer screen.
