Full description of the position

Position: Regional Account Executive
FLSA Status: Exempt, Direct-Hire, Full-Time
Location: Grapevine, TX
Working Hour: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Monday to Friday)
Reports To: Branch Manager

OVERVIEW:
An international Freight Forwarding company is looking for a Regional Account Executive in Grapevine, TX. The company is worldwide top 10 freight forwarding company providing a wide range of competitive logistics services, including ocean and air freight, rail, trucking, warehousing and distribution, customs brokerage and more. This position is responsible for promoting sales activity Import/Export of Air/Ocean services mainly in Texas area.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Develop a new account and maintain an existing account in Texas area.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities.
  • Handle customer visits, cold calls, presentations, negotiations and contracts.
  • Participate in RFQs and collaborate with other offices to complete RFQ.
  • Provide consultative selling approach to present freight solutions based on client's needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other offices on assigned accounts.
  • Document sales activities in company system.
  • Participate in Bi-weekly sales meeting and report current sales activities and issues.
  • Monitor accounts receivable with accounting staff to ensure timely collection.
  • Other duties and special projects requested by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience in logistics industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel (domestic/international).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
