What we want:

We're looking for a seasoned system admin or other experienced engineer who is ready for a step back from the demanding pace of IT support but still enjoys being in the IT field. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable IT engineer-think Tier 2 or higher-who has experience in identifying the hardware that's most appropriate based on a user or organization's stated needs. This candidate is familiar with leading vendors in the IT field and knows how and where to source this equipment at a competitive price. The ideal candidate will complete this process in a timely way, providing a competitive quote that our IT sales team members can present to the customer, and may be called on to communicate with the customer about needs and potential solutions. The ideal candidate will also be able to anticipate future needs, ensuring that the company has the right quantity of the right product in the right place at the right time.

Required Qualifications and Expectations

• 3+ years' experience in system administration, network administration or other forms of IT engineering
• Knowledge of routing and switching
• Proficiency with popular software from vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Salesforce, Intuit, etc., and the computing power necessary to operate popular systems
• Fundamental firewall knowledge - SSL VPN creation, user accounts, etc.
• Solid customer service abilities including telephone skills
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to operate with changing priorities
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; Gather and analyze information skillfully; Work well in group problem solving situations
• Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, apply feedback to improve performance, and monitor own work to ensure quality
• Self-starter with follow-through
• Ability to show up on time and looking professional
• Ability to pass to random drug tests and a background check

Hours: 8am-5pm, M-F, with possibility for overtime
