Full description of the position

SUMMARY
Promote and manage all aspects of selling aerospace aluminum products, including but not limited to marketing, inventory, inside/outside sales, and sales policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

included the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Develops, tracks and maintains customer base in assigned territory
A. Completes and maintains all customer profile forms
B. Cold calls new accounts
C. Reactivates stagnant accounts
D. Makes Changes or updates to account information in StelPlan
E. Executes Monthly E-Territory Reviews

2. Provide Best-In-Class customer service in accordance with the policy and objectives of AMI Metals
A. Responsive to customer request for status of their orders
B. Provide prompt quote response to customers
C. Return phone calls / messages timely
D. Provide technical data to customers upon request
E. Responsiveness to request for missing paperwork, TR's/BOL/Invoices etc.
F. Responsive to any other general or misc. requests from customer

3. Interface with customer in assigned territories, including, but not limited to, generating sales and profits from assigned customer base.
A. Maintain contact with all customers in territory via phone, fax, e-mail or letter
B. Visit with customers in assigned territories via scheduled outside sales calls.
C. Generate profitable revenue through order closing / order taking
D. Make best effort basis to resolve customer related problems, issues and challenges

4. Process customer orders
A. Enter orders into StelPlan system
B. Execute Buy Req, Process Req, or Transfer Req where appropriate
C. Process and acknowledge customer P.O. Acknowledgement
& Maintaining current customer PO Clause Flow-down Database.
D. Maintains files of all quotes, transactions, and all other correspondence relative to customer RFQ's / Orders and Quotations

5. Provide feedback to Management and Administrative Departments
A. Communicate, via e-mail, information regarding competitor activity such as pricing, material availability and lead-times
B. Communicates "holes in inventory" to Sales Management and Purchasing when required
C. Provides any pertinent feedback within monthly E-Reviews
D. Communicates relevant feedback from customer base and pertinent information from "customer's Customer"
E. Communicates fiscal-health feedback from any customer, or about any customer, within your territory or otherwise

6. Assist in maintaining A/R integrity with all customers in assigned territory
A. Execute Credit and RA forms
B. Input narrative notes in StelPlan based on information received
C. Resolve sales related credit issues with customer
D. Resolve account issues resulting in the account being on Daily Credit Hold Listing
E. Obtain financial information when requested
F. Review and be aware of account status, dates, and A/R balances
G. Maintain open communication with customer on A/R issues

7. Execute Management strategy for sales development
A. Solicit and respond to customer quotations for various new product initiatives
B. Provide feedback to Sales Management and Administrative departments on new product lines
C. Promote new product lines with current and prospective account base

8. Timely responsiveness to action related e-mails
A. Respond to Sales Management on questions or projects that are assigned
B. Respond to any department question regarding orders or other issues directly related to your business

9. Participates in departmental and/or other company meetings
A. Prepare an item of "Industry Scoop" for Sales Meetings
B. Attend each Sales Meeting as scheduled
C. Make presentations to team / group when assigned
D. Actively participate
E. Make constructive suggestions to improve meetings

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May directly supervise 1 employee. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assists in evaluating performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university is preferred but not required; or three to five years related experience and/or training is preferred but not required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
