Overview

The role of the Sales Associate is to support Sales Representatives in the market by providing stellar customer service, relationship management and product up-selling. This position is field based and a natural progression into a Sales Representative position.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, service and increase sales for existing account base

• Handles any client request or concern in the assigned account base

• Cold call and generate leads for assigned sales executives to sell

• Interface with internal departments as well as client to ensure smooth flow of work

• Deliver books, pick up checks, ad copy as needed

• Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers. Exchange semi-routine information related to assigned activities

• Able to react to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned

EXPERIENCE

• 2-5 years customer service and/or outside/inside sales experience

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Strong cold calling skills

• Problem solving ability a must

• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Must be able to multi-task and meet magazine deadlines

• Flexible in handling different situations

COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS

Effective communication skills – on the phone and written correspondence

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS

• Position is remote and will require daily travel

• Valid state issued driver's license and proof of auto insurance
