ROMCO Equipment Co. is currently seeking an experienced Product Support Sales/Uptime Manager . We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and can demonstrate well-established leadership ability.
The Product Support Sales/Uptime Manager is responsible for:
Product Support Representative Related responsibilities
- PSR training – Develop, Document and Manage PSR training
- Review PSR machine inspections and review with PSM for sales possibilities
- Review and approve PSR commission
- Ensure PSRs are enrolled or have access to all necessary manufacturer sites
Telematics Systems
- Standardize telematics data capture for fleet (Manage API/AEMP data feeds)
- Manage end user information in manufacturer systems (ActiveCare, Caretrack, SOM, etc..)
- Track and manage Telematics systems:
- Ensure activation & organization of units in telematics systems
- Enable reporting and maintenance notifications
- Manage notification routing (Alarm, PM and Error)
- Manage/Track Telematics billing
Manufacturer
- Coordinate Key Account (national and locally identified) Product Support initiatives and special pricing.
- Develop and Maintain CSA (Support Agreements) and report as needed to manufacturers
- Ensure ROMCO meets or exceeds product support related Volvo Iron Mark goals
- Review and implement manufacturer related product support initiatives as needed
- Introduce and support new product support related products (Teeth, Oils, filters, etc..)
- Develop and maintain manufacturer relationships
Branch Development
- Quarterly branch visits to review and discuss product support programs and initiatives
- Implement Aftermarket programs with PSRs and Parts/Service Departments
- Assign and ensure Parts, Service and PSR training related to Product Support Programs
- Ensure training and enrollment in manufacturer product support related quoting calculators (PM, Repair and Maintenance, Refurbishment)
- Create, track, and maintain PM worksheets for quick reference quoting
- Monitor and track Kaizen reporting (performance, adherence, and auditing)
- Ensure Product Support personnel are up to date on product lines
Customer Soft Products Support
- Approve, track and invoice soft product items (Techtool, MATRIS, PROSIS, etc)
- User creation in manufacturer system
- Support/Assist PSR by getting customer login credentials
- Create tracking to invoice and notify PSR when new subscription cycle is due
- Support as a liaison between customer and manufacturer when needed (PROSIS issues, Techtool log in issues)
- Assist in delivery of soft products through PSR by providing PSR links, documents, software, and update information
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent on the job experience.
- At least five years of experience in the construction and mining equipment business. Thorough knowledge of construction equipment products.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Customer service and sales experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on training individuals and groups.
- Advanced computer and software skills including Microsoft Office products.
Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions and Additional Requirements
This job operates in an office and field environment. Standard hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional needs outside standard business hours to accommodate meetings, training and projects. Frequent travel is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and complete a successful background and drug screening.
