Full description of the position

Job Description:


The Account Management Group Manager is a key member of the senior staff that will work in direct support with Operations while serving as a liaison between Operations, Sales and Sonwil customers. The Group Manager must be a highly motivated and self-sufficient individual, committed to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. The position will be charged with leading the Account Management team from all aspects to include, but not limited to: distribution of accounts, direct management of key strategic accounts, HR/Payroll policies, organizational structure, etc. The Account Management Group Manager will support Sales/Operations as the keeper of customer contracts while maintaining visibility with key contractual dates within a bank of Warehouse Service Agreements. The Group Manager will also support efforts in conjunction with Operations, Sales, and the Accounting Department in managing Accounts Receivables.


Duties and responsibilities
Client Service & Team Management
  • Manages and oversees all aspects of the organization’s Account Management Department including all policies, procedures, goals, objectives and initiatives.
  • Continually analyzes effectiveness of organization structure and makes calculated recommendations and adjustments in the spirit of Bench Strength development and Continuous Improvement. Coach/mentor all team members to enhance Bench Strength in support of future growth of the business.
  • The ability to motivate staff and effectively deal with performance/coaching opportunities.
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with Operations and Clients by responding to escalated inquiries and complaints concerning orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc. in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Maintains ongoing, positive relationships with Operations, Sales, and customers actively communicating any order management issues.
  • Is an active collaborative participant with Sales and Operations in managing the outstanding accounts receivables.
  • Develops and maintains an effective cross-training program within the Account Management team.
  • Facilitate, develop, and maintain key business relationships with operational and sales leaders in managing a diverse customer base across multiple operations.
  • Point person to coordinate onboarding activities for new clients with Sales, Operations, and IT.
  • Maintain a personal, courteous, and professional relationship with key customer contacts.
  • May be asked to actively support Sales as necessary with organic and external sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain electronic document management system for critical paperwork retention to include customer contracts.
  • Effectively and dynamically communicate contractual obligations with Operations.
  • Develop professional and respectful relationships between all Sonwil personnel to include
other support functions and other businesses within the Sonwil Enterprise.


Required Experience:


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of customer-facing management/service experience.
  • Ability to lead a group while developing Bench Strength.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • The ability to create a positive work environment and lead through critically changing
environments.
  • Excellent and professional verbal/written communication skills as well as presentation
skills.
  • A natural problem-solver with the ability to perform effective root cause analysis.
  • The ability to strategically prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in PC skills and MS Office Suite.
  • 3-5 years in a supervisory role preferred.
