We are looking for a leader who is highly reliable, a sponge with new information, humble and patient in order to help them through the challenge of joining a seasoned team where they will have a gap in the knowledge necessary to lead one of our branches. As a Batteries Plus Bulbs Sales and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for working with your store team to make people smile through problem solving. You’ll be in an energetic store environment while you learn the necessary skills. A “yes we can help you with that” and smile can go a long way, and we believe our sales associates have the power to be the best moment in each customer’s day. Our locally owned franchise group has 13 Retail Sales and Service locations in Oregon and SW Washington. We have management opportunities in our Portland / Vancouver market and are looking for the right individual that has a proven track record of coaching and leading teams to perform at their best.
No prior experience with batteries or light bulbs is required as we will take care of the training, all you need is a background in exceptional customer service & selling with leadership and management experience. As part of our investment in your long-term success with our company we require that the individual that we hire to be our Sales and Operations Manager participates in paid training in our Salem or Portland training locations for 4 to 6 weeks to learn our products, systems, customer service expectations and sales incentive opportunities available to you with a dedicated new hire trainer.

Sales Manager Duties:
Customer Service / Sales
- Demonstrate a customer first mentality
- Greet customers, determine needs & solve problems by asking questions
- Look for additional opportunities and needs
- Sell add-on items, participate in retail store and commercial sales activities to achieve sales goals and bonuses
- Operate technology-based Point of Sale & Product Look-up system to complete sales transactions
- In bound phone sales / service
- Install large and small batteries in various devices, including cellphones/tablets
- Function as a team player
Merchandising / Inventory
- Inventory stock maintenance and management
- Ship and/or deliver to commercial accounts
- Maintain clean and full store appearance
- Build displays; to better market seasonal products
- Prepare store for daily opening and closing
Management / Team leader
- Observing, Coaching and Role Playing
- Sales Management & Operational Leadership
Qualifications:
- Work an average of 50 hours per week with Saturdays off and working two Sundays per month
- Good listening and verbal communication skills
- Sales and Customer Service
- Ability to gain quick and solid understanding of company's electronic POS and Product cross reference system
- Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines with multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to calculate simple math and percentages
- Strong eyesight, technical aptitude & dexterity required for various types of repair work we offer
- Valid driver's license and ability to get to area stores
- Must be able to lift 50 + lbs. to eye level
