The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling high value, integrated, bundled, and stand-alone systems and/or equipment and other related technology solutions under the Company's product line to contractors, consultants, and customers.
How are you successful in this role?
The Sales Engineer will sell new/retrofit projects for our RNG and Compression product lines. Establish and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, and customers responsible for new quote activity and generation. Develop a network of contacts. Listen and speak with customers to identify their concerns and needs. Position Stark Tech as a responsible and responsive provider. Provide comprehensive technology and system solutions to meet customer objectives and Code requirements, and drive profit. Recommend IoT solutions and link customer objectives to total value solution and competitive advantage. Influence design and construction with contractors, consultants, and customers. Create competitive, high quality and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost benefit analyses. Work closely with Sales Officers as needed. Write, present, and communicate bids, including input on development of drawings. Utilize the applicable CRM effectively to plan, communicate and document progress and increase business opportunity in accounts. Leverage sales process monthly checkpoints to gain progressive commitments from the customer. Communicate with management regularly. Build and foster team relationships across the organization to ensure customer satisfaction. Assist with the development of team and/or Operations Systems sales and marketing plans and strategies. Target new customers based on vertical. Occasionally participate in trade shows, product demonstrations, professional organizations, and other networking events.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent related work experience.
- 5 + years of outside technical sales experience in the Electrical and/or Mechanical industry or RNG, Solar etc.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Methane gas production from Landfill or Biogas.
- Knowledge of Compressor, Filtration, and other consideration of skid systems design.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence is a plus.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and SalesForce CRM is preferred.
- Proficiency with handheld devices, such as Smartphones, iPads, etc.
- Strong presentation and communication skills written and verbal, both internally and externally are essential.
- Be highly motivated and an independent thinker.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast pace setting and adapt/be flexible in a changing environment.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines required.
