Position Summary: Food manufacturing company that serves multiple industries is looking for a motivated Sales & Marketing Assistant to help its growing business. This is a role for a creative and motivated individual that is interested in making their own mark in a busy environment. The Sales & Marketing Assistant will be responsible for the enhancement of the company's marketing and collateral materials, supporting the growth of the company in its core business and expansion into new opportunities. Our ideal candidate has some marketing and sales experience and is self-motivated to complete tasks on a deadline.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct online and live marketing research.
• Design and create additional marketing materials for existing and new products to augment the company’s presence in the market.
• Create marketing lists and organize contacts.
• Create and maintain a list of customers and facilities, including locations and product information.
• Maintain and update information on incoming product and breakdown by species.
• Gather information that can be used to determine potential sales of a product or service.
• Visit brick-and-mortar stores and conduct research.
• Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services to assist in sales and customer relations.
• Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts.
• Assist with outreach to prospective customers through email and phone-based campaigns and other creative outbound prospecting.
• Provide administrative and project support for a variety of sales and marketing programs.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• At least 1 years’ experience in a marketing or sales role preferred.
• Excellent communication, written and oral presentation skills.
• Strong email and phone skills.
• MS Office competency (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with pivot tables is a plus.
• Some photo/graphic editing experience.
• Fast learner and interested in learning about new industries.
• This position may be required to travel locally and internationally as required for standard business purposes.
• Capable of managing different projects simultaneously and prioritizing them.
• Capable of both taking direction and working independently.
• Exhibit character that will lend itself to a culture of qualities that possess and display a proactive, professional, honest, trustworthy, and strong work ethic.
• Unintimidated by cold calling.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Creative thinker who can develop ways to build and promote content.
