Territory Manager

Carlson Distributing – Salt Lake City, UT

Due to tremendous growth we are expanding and are looking for great people to join our winning team!! Carlson Distributing is the largest beer distributor and the largest import/specialty beer distributor in the state of Utah. We serve over 3000 retail customers in Utah and we are looking to recruit a career-minded person to join our team in a front line, Territory Manager position. Previous consumer products industry experience is required and a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) background preferable. We are looking for talented people to join our sales management team with aspirations of career advancement and growth in the future.

Responsibilities:

· Lead, direct, support and develop Sales Representatives and/or merchandising personnel to achieve Company goals

· Responsible for achievement of company Win at Retail standards per account trade classification within assigned sales group

· Grow volume and share within their group at established rate as determined by the company

· Maximize revenue and profitability by leading the team to exceptional market execution and controlling expenses

· Development of business relationships with fellow employees, suppliers, and customers through activities such as work withs and sales calls at appropriate levels and retailer alignment

· Monitor and uphold company standards, policies, and procedures.

· In conjunction with the company’s human resources department, manage performance issues timely and appropriately including progressive discipline

· Monitor and uphold the company’s safety standards

· Monitor and uphold, in conjunction with senior management, compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations and laws

Qualifications:

· Effective communication skills and customer service focused

· Demonstrable leadership skills

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· Dedicated and self-motivated with a passion to win and be successful

· College degree strongly preferred (but not mandatory)

· Must have a valid Driver License with a clean driving record

· Must be able to occasionally lift/lower 35 lbs. regularly and up to 150 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Range of $65,000-$75,000.00 per year to start, depending upon relevant experience, plus the use of a company vehicle or a monthly mileage reimbursement.
