Business Development Manager in Gonzales, LA
Responsibilities
The Industrial Specialty Services USA LLC (ISS) Business Development and Sales Manager’s primary roles are to support the assigned business area by:
- Achieve sales and profit goals by developing and retaining existing customers and by obtaining new contracts for business
- Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify ISS services that will benefit customers and potential customers including applications of leak sealing, field machining, line isolation, hot tap and line stop, metal disintegration,
- Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up, negotiate terms, and close transactions
- Organize and conduct training sessions for customers
- Survey market and competitive conditions
- Complete reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and other related matters
- Monitor customer complaints, follow up on outstanding orders, and make emergency calls, night calls, and deliveries into industrial facilities as required
- Review work sites and take measurements for equipment at customer locations
Skills & Requirements
ISS Business Development and Sales Managers are self-motivated and driven by a desire to exceed expectations. They have strong prioritization, planning, and time-management skills, and a sense of urgency. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish rapport building solid relationships at all levels of ISS industrial customers are keys to success.
- 5+ years proven outside industrial sales experience
- Proven experience and success in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory
- Mechanical aptitude, strong desire to succeed, sense of urgency and excellent interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills (written & verbal), good English grammar
- Computer skills and knowledge, including Excel
- Experience working in industrial facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, power plants, Liquid Natural Gas facilities, pipeline and upstream oil and gas facilities is required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (MVR)
- Must be able to work in industrial settings
- Candidate must be able to pass DOT, PHSMA, DCCHT NASAP or other industrial required drug and alcohol program required.
- Candidate must be able to pass fitness for duty test to enter and work in industrial facilities
Candidates for ISS must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment will be required at the time of hire.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
