GENERAL SUMMARY: Lead events to acquire and onboard new members through presentations, and proactive conversations with prospective and current members. Identify member financial needs and provide recommendations utilizing our products and services to serve those needs. Accurately perform branch functions while providing exceptional member experience. Assist members through inbound and/or outbound calls to service their needs and deepen relationships.
This new and exciting role will spend the first 6-12 months cultivating relationships, driving membership acquisition, and hosting business development events with our sponsor in that area. The role is planned to transition into a branch once construction is complete, and may have call center responsibilities based on volumes and business needs.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead business development events to identify sales prospects and follow up on leads to achieve both individual and branch sales targets as assigned.
- Build relationships with external business partners to foster engagement with all employees and prospects.
- Deliver a consistent and exceptional member experience with every member interaction.
- Build relationships with members through needs assessment and recommending products and services that serve their financial needs.
- Service members through call center inbound calls and/or proactively outreach to members and prospects and perform follow up activities to deepen relationships.
- Advise members on improving financial health with savings, managing debt, building credit, lending options, digital banking, and marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Assist members with completion of loan applications, inspecting documents for accuracy and thoroughness for stipulations. Reviews loan applications, gathers credit histories and reports, and works with consumer lending to assess credit risks.
- Engage members with mortgage and other internal and external partners to help members with their financial goals.
- Assist members with financial transactions including working with cash and checks while adhering to policies and procedures to accurately process transactions, identify and prevent fraud, and balance cash negotiables daily.
- Perform daily branch duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager including servicing ATMs and other branch operations tasks.
- May be required to become a Notary Public based on the needs of the branch location.

- Maintain complete confidentiality of member, employee, and Credit Union information.
- A high percentage of attendance is also an essential function of this position.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years’ branch, call center or other related financial service experience required.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- Ability to effectively communicate with empathy. Speaks and writes clearly, tactfully, and effectively in English using correct spelling and grammar.
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to reflectively respond.
- Basic math skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages using a 10-key.
- Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word and Excel. Moderate keyboard skills at 40 wpm.
- Excellent customer service skills.
