Full description of the position

If you’re competitive, driven, curious, and have a burning desire to impact others, we hope you’ll consider an opportunity that your future self will thank you for.

Leave the Herd Behind.

The Role:
Acting as the first touchpoint in any sales cycle, sales development representatives (SDRs) research potential future customers for their company or client. They translate this research into targeted lists of people (prospects) who could benefit from the product/service.

After identifying these ideal customers, sales development representatives begin outreach to educate prospects about a product or service in order to decide if it’s worth consideration. If it is, SDRs schedule a meeting between the qualified prospect and an Account Executive, moving the prospect through the sales process.

Company:
memoryBlue is a top provider of sales development talent and expertise to the high-tech industry. Over the last 19 years, memoryBlue has launched hundreds of careers for high-tech sales professionals from our offices in Tysons (DC Metro), Austin, Boston, Denver, Seattle, and Silicon Valley.

As a Sales Development Representative at memoryBlue, you’ll surface high-dollar enterprise sales opportunities with C-Level executives, VPs, and Directors by executing prospecting cadences using the phone, email, and LinkedIn.

After creating an opportunity for your client, you then “ride shotgun” on these sales calls, where you get to learn directly from your client’s sales executives. memoryBlue clients include:

  • The biggest, most recognizable brands on the planet
  • VC-funded “unicorns” worth $1B+
  • Bootstrapped startups with massive upside potential

Starting here offers an unrivaled opportunity to see how multiple companies operate, compare notes with like-minded teammates, and learn faster than anywhere else.

Training:
memoryBlue professional sales development representative training (Prospecting Principles) arms you with the tools, skills, and techniques that lead to long-term career success. After completing a 2-day Bootcamp, you and your Academy cohort will spend the next six weeks applying the Principles of Prospecting.

  • Facilitator-led Weekly Training Sessions breaking down sales calls
  • Daily Cohort Huddles to provide accountability and instill the habit of discipline
  • The “Call of the Day” where a Managing Director dissects a call from an Academy participant

After earning your Prospecting Principles certification, you’ll continue to participate in weekly company-wide training every Wednesday afternoon throughout your tenure as a Sales Development Representative.

Career Paths:
You will attract a host of career options as your tenure progresses and your skills grow. This includes moving up internally or punching out to the high-tech industry -- where companies pay a premium for memoryBlue experience.

A few other examples:

  • SDR Leadership
  • Account Executive
  • Talent
  • Academy Facilitator

Your clients will always have the opportunity to hire you (30 days is fastest on record) and, when this happens, it’s almost always for more money ($90K Base record in 2020).

Culture:
Everyone from the cofounders to the most recent new hire is committed to working each day to close the gap between potential and accomplishment. memoryBlue is a mainstay on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the U.S. and made the list nine consecutive years from 2[please apply online]. In 2018, we were ranked #1 Corporate Culture by the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals (AA-ISP), the de facto authority on the advancement of the inside sales profession.

To attract and retain more than our fair share of top performers, we embrace:

  • Consistent training & professional development
  • Strong bias to promote from within
  • Disproportionally reward top performers
  • Radical transparency
  • Abundance thinking
  • Growth mindset

Think about the teams you’ve been on where being around your teammates made you better.

Network:
Your network determines your net worth.

This role offers exposure to your key client contacts, both through day-to-day interaction and weekly reoccurring meetings with VPs of Sales, VPs of Marketing, and even CEOs.

Two years from now, nearly all of your teammates will scatter throughout the high-tech industry, joining the memoryBlue Alumni Network (500+ members) while staying connected to one another as well as the firm. And those who don’t take that path typically stay and move up within memoryBlue.

memoryBlue Alumni help other memoryBlue Alumni land better jobs every month.

Perks:
You’ll have access to the following:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision
  • 401K Match
  • Profit-Sharing
