Global Furniture USA is one of the premier importers and distributors of fine home furnishings in the United States, as well as a prominent player in the international market. Global is looking to add an Data Processing and Account Executive to its growing Ocean Import team.
This individual will work cooperatively with operations, sales, and accounting to fully service clients and ensure customer satisfaction from order placement to delivery. They will also be responsible for successfully coordinating the documentation of products from overseas vendors to customers in the U.S.
Excellent verbal communication, initiative, teamwork, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Adobe are required. Ability to multi-task, handle changing priorities and work with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization are preferred.
Job duties and responsibilities may include:
- Data entry, order processing, and order confirmation while keeping all relevant parties informed and reviewing for accuracy
- Entering and processing all invoices and billing from logistics vendors
- Creating and forwarding proper documentation to customers, carriers, and customs brokers
- Law label and industry compliance management
- Accurately process customer transactions and prepare quote sheets
- Provide sales support to outside representatives, including price lists and inventory reports
- Maintain customer relationships and provide support for customer requests, including but not limited to customer spec sheets, product information, carton packaging, and production updates
- Collaborate with management on various projects as required
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in ocean import customer service, operations, and documentation
- Candidate must be experienced with import container operations from origin to destination, customer complaints, and corresponding with overseas offices, agents, and customers
- Some knowledge of state, federal, and international applicable laws and regulations is required
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills
- Fundamental understanding of ISF processing, industry compliance, and industry standards including cubic dimensions
- Microsoft Excel and Adobe proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management preferred
- Self-motivated, energetic, strong work ethic, and ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities'
