Are you an Account Manager who wants to join an industry leader in the trailer industry? If you can answer "yes" to this question, you should consider this opportunity.
Our client's parent company is the second largest trailer manufacturer in the country and has achieved amazing growth both organically and through acquisition. As Account Manager you will provide excellent customer care to the dealer network for hydraulic trailers and construction trailers. Your territory will be concentrated on the east coast and will stretch from Virginia to Maine and west to Ohio. You will join two other Account Managers, and you will report to the Sales Manager. With the size of the parent company, there could be great opportunities for career growth.
As Account Manager you will:
- Manage and strengthen existing accounts and establish new accounts
- Communicate on a regular basis by phone, e-mail or in-person visits with existing and prospective customers/dealers
- Employ a consultative approach with dealers regarding product usage, product feature demonstration, pricing strategies, and growth strategies
- Respond to all requests (sales quotes, service, warranty, etc.) with a high level of urgency, empathy, and accountability
- Manage all aspects of order processing and order management
- Train dealers' team members to sell, operate, and maintain new equipment
- Collaborate with leadership to negotiate dealer-specific agreements and sales incentives
- Actively participate in trade shows
As Account Manager your background should include:
- Degree preferred or equivalent demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of outside sales experience.
- Must be willing to work onsite. There is not a remote or hybrid option.
- Manufacturing experience a plus
- Experience selling to dealers or distribution a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Conflict resolutions skills
- Proven negotiation skills
- A track record of being a highly motivated self-starter
- Willingness to travel 15-20%
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical in order to drive sales truck while pulling trailers to demonstrate products to dealers
Our client is seeking local/commutable candidates as there is no relocation assistance offered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per year
