Job description

The Sales Order Entry role is responsible for sales order processing, documentation, office administration, and customer service. The Sales Order Entry role is key in processing and moving along production and installation.

Essential Functions of the Sales Order Entry

· Manage sales orders/tickets, ensuring that tickets and all information is compiled before communicating with sales

· Confirm that all tickets are billable to an Open Credit Account; for orders which are not billable to an Open Credit Account, ensure that a 50% deposit be has been provided with ticket

· Provide confirmed tickets to Purchasing for released orders; for orders not released, place ticket on 'Hold'.

· Ensure documentation is complete for Suspense Tickets, Warranty Tickets, Voids or Credit Memos; handle communications as required

· Update filing of Open Orders on a daily basis; manage files

· Manage office; maintain various supplies and Sales brochures to be stocked and organized. Manage incoming and outgoing mail.

· Answer phone calls and provide efficient customer service for calls both inside and outside of the Company. Check voice mail to ensure a timely reply to calls.

· Greet and assist customers as required

· Other duties as requested

Competencies/Skills/Abilities f the Sales Order Entry

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Strong computer skills; systems savvy, proficient

· Detail oriented and accurate

· Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

· Previous Customer Service work experience is required; previous work experience in our industry is preferred
