About the job:
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Sales Support Rep. responds to complex member inquiries, resolving issues, and engaging in activities to promote member enrollment. Responsible for enrollment activities as required for walk-in clients
What you'll do:
- Complies with internal policies, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI), NCQA and all applicable Federal regulations.
- Conducts telephonic sales activities within the scope of licensure and regulatory requirements while consistently and accurately documenting such sales activities/inquiries within the designated software
- Serves as front line Sales Agent/Insurance Adviser for all walk-in office prospective members
- Accurately and timely completes mandatory compliance forms, such as scope of appointment, required by sales agents when discussing products with Medicare beneficiaries to ensure CMS regulatory requirements are met
- Proactively outreaches to members deploying retention efforts. The ability to initiate recovery actions in difficult situations required
- Acts as liaison for members, prospects and plan representatives. Demonstrates positive role modeling and promotes brand awareness.
What we're looking for:
- Education: Minimum of high school education. Bachelor's Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licensure / Certification: State of Iowa insurance Health, Life & AD&D license. Prior to starting, candidates must have passed the state license exam for Life, Accident and Health Insurance and within the following 30 days obtain full licensure status.
- Experience: Two (2) years of customer service experience along with knowledge of governmental agencies and regulations, especially Medicare and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) desired.
- Effective Communication Skills; sales, retention and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrated knowledge and effective organizing multi-tasks, in a high volume, fast-paced team environment with the ability to incent sales of insurance products.
- Knowledge of managed care benefit plans, products and industry competition.
- PC proficient including word-processing, data entry, Microsoft office and various software.
- Medical terminology and medical claims processing a plus.
