Job Title: Account Manager

Position Reports to: US Sales Manager
Position is: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt
Work Location: Hanover location, Telecommuting available upon request
Schedule: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week, flexible hours with a start between 7 am – 9 am, end day between 4 pm – 6 pm.
Job Description: The Account Manager is responsible for building and growing a strategic working relationship with existing customers to help achieve sales and profit targets. The account manager will act as a dedicated business consultant to offer the best value proposition for the customer.
Responsibilities:
- As an Account Manager, you will develop and implement strategies for increasing sales and profit targets.
- Coordinate the needs of assigned accounts.
- Identify opportunities for assigned accounts, and communicate and those opportunities to the appropriate personnel.
- Develop key relationships with assigned accounts.
- Understand customer organizations by department, function, strategies, and key programs
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Direct work experience in food industry, retail industry and or inventory-based products.
- Possess strong listening skills, an ability to hear what a potential customer wants, concerns and issues and ability to problem solve.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate ability to build and maintain strategic customer relationships, handle multiple priorities, and work in a self-direct manner.
- Possess excellent planning/organizational skills and techniques.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to use judgement based on experience, knowledge and collaboration with appropriate team members to develop appropriate new business proposals.
- Ability to work effectively under an interference driven environment with competing priorities.
- Experience with an ERP system
- Must be skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
Travel/Physical Demands:
- Work conducted within an office environment.
- Travel typically less than 30%.
- Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
- Job demands will require long periods of sitting, standing, telephone work, or computer work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
