Title: Application Engineer Work Location: 100% Onsite Massachusetts

Department(s): Technical Services Pay Type: Salary

Reports to: Team Manager Travel Requirement: 10-15% Domestic

Summary: Responsible for technical support of Customers, Sales Team, Customer Service, Operations.

This position is the primary contact for day- to-day activities which support the product line success. Closely following existing procedures while performing tasks as described below.

Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in technical field or commensurate experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Experience in sales or customer service.

You use the tools and information available to make sound decision on technical questions. You are confident in reading technical specifications and interpreting the needs of internal and external customers.

Uphold Asahi’s reputation in the marketplace as a premium brand with excellent quality.

General Understand Asahi’s history, placement in the markets we serve, and with our customers.

Prepare detailed quotations of non-standard components, application sensitive requests, projects, technically advanced requests, or as required.

Sales
Perform detailed take-offs of conceptual or preliminary drawings.

Understand margin, and follow Team Leader instructions on how to maximize.

Support large scale projects as directed.

Communicate receipt of request and provide estimate of time to complete the request.

Respond to customers in a timely manner.
Communication

Communicate directly with customers and distributors when necessary while informing territory stakeholders.

Communicate directly with vendor technical support staff as needed.

Provide technical support for products using existing documentation.

Recommend product options based on application information and performance
Technical requirements.

Develop proficiency in existing calculators and engineering tools.

Facilitate creation of new design and analysis tools as needed.

Management
Understand the division 5-year plan.

Travel Travel with the Sales Team to customer sites.

Attend tradeshows as required.

Other
Understand & follow ISO 9001:2015 procedures.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
