Sales Representative

Job Summary: Quality Chain has been a leader in the tire chain industry for over 35 years. We service the Forestry, Mining, Farming, Trucking, Heavy Equipment and Automotive Industries. We are seeking a new salesperson to join our team. The job will be based in Hillsboro, OR and will primarily consist of telephone sales support. Up to 4 weeks of travel per year to the customers in your assigned territory will be required. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated, customer driven individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be working in a team environment, but must be able to think independently. Candidates with auto, tire, heavy duty truck and or mechanical knowledge are preferred.

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Present, promote and sell products to existing and prospective customers via phone, email and face-to-face communication in assigned territory
• Assist customers with questions regarding pricing, inventory availability and technical support regarding specifications and recommendations for their tire fitment/application.
• Maintain customer records.
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
• Establish new accounts through prospecting, cold calls and market analysis.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
• Coordinate sales effort with team members, management and other departments.
• Analyze territory/market’s potential; track sales; and monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. Share new developments in sales meetings.
• Keep management and sales team informed of customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. This could be by way of verbal meetings, daily call reports, weekly work plans, and annual territory analyses.
• Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs and promote products. Up to 4 weeks of

travel required per year.

• Work with Sales manager to set up pricing programs for customers each year

Qualification Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a tire or tire chain related industry preferred.
• Mechanical background preferred.
• Basic understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
• Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills; both written and verbal.
• Can demonstrate time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs.
• A commitment to excellent customer service.
• Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and co-workers. Openness to feedback and constructive criticism.
• Competency in office phone systems along with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Current valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
