Our new digital business will enable us to drive differentiation in the market, acquire new customers, create additional revenue streams, and further build out innovation capabilities. Our suite of services will launch through current internal channels, while we explore high growth options in new geographies and categories. The business is built on a drive to customer centric design, providing exceptional customer service, and innovative solutions to problems.
Our Head of Sales will be a dedicated professional, eager to grow our customer base by building relationships with our clients and prospective clients. In this role, you would create and execute our sales strategy alongside processes that support rapid scale, focusing on the acquisition and retention of new customers, through direct and indirect channels as appropriate.
You would be responsible for spearheading and implementing the sales programs of the company that will assess, build and manage a sales pipeline of targets across relevant channels to deliver on the company's growth objectives.
The Head of Sales will work alongside the product and marketing teams to execute our go-to-market strategy. This is a leadership team role reporting directly to the President/CEO and will collaborate with every business function, in a customer-centric and data driven culture. You will work with internal partners as well as across teams to support our success.

Primary Responsibilities:
Build and Manage Sales Team
  • Hire, develop, coach, and manage a high performing sales team.
  • Lead your sales team to prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as networking and lead generation tools. Qualify prospects against ideal customer persona. Consult discovery with prospects about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and cost benefits of each. Based on identified customer needs, establish relationships with new customers to sell the product to meet these needs.
  • Create and implement attractive value propositions for customers and ensure service offering stays competitive and relevant to customers’ needs.
  • Mentor, motivate and grow sales teams to support a product lead culture.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts across sales units to ensure consistency and continued excellence.
  • Oversee sales budget and related financial reporting.
Sales Strategy
  • Create and implement short-term and long-term sales strategy including management and execution of sales goals.
  • Formulate sales performance KPI’s, in close collaboration with the President/CEO, and execute against set KPI’s.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of target segments and associated behaviors, e.g., segment specific financial service needs to support these efforts.
  • Design end-to-end sales approach accounting for sales capabilities of the corporate partner and alongside other digital approaches.
  • Work with internal partners to develop compelling sales strategies and processes that further support start-up product sales, while managing risk.
Sales Execution and Team Building
  • Build and manage the entire sales pipeline from new business prospecting, to building relationships with potential clients and closing new business.
  • Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as networking and lead generation tools.
  • Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers.
  • Consult with prospects about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and cost benefits of each.
  • Based on identified customer needs, establish relationships with new customers to sell products and services to meet these needs.
  • Lead/drive the sales process and achieve objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing data on past performance, and projecting future performance.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales.
  • Maintain a high level of relevant general and industry knowledge specific to the product to better connect with prospects.
  • Provide feedback to management on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ sales and/or marketing experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 11 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 7 years’ sales and/or marketing experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ managerial and/or work leadership experience
  • Expertise in LegalTech or B2B SaaS (SMB preferred) or financial services sales
  • Experience managing and optimizing growth strategies in a hands-on sales role
  • Experience scaling digital business through cross channel customer acquisition and retention initiatives
  • Experience with HubSpot or comparative CRM
  • Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline
  • Strong communication and coaching skills with an ability to write in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner

Education and Experience Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree
  • At least 7 years of experience in Software Sales, partnership management, or equivalent experience sourcing new business
  • More than 4 years’ sales management experience
