Full description of the position

SUMMARY: To support Talk of the Town by managing existing and new customer relationships. The assistant will help achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with established procedures/policies, and profitable operations.

This is a full-time, hourly position. During busy seasons, additional time will be required and expected.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. General Accountabilities

  • Execute tasting when sales manager in unavailable– knowledge of menu items and services is imperative in case clients ask questions

· Entering events in Caterease / assist with proposals and revisions

· Complete event folders and filling out pullsheets

· Cross training

· Attend events as assigned by sales team

· Pick-up and Delivery orders

· Assist Sales managers with sites if needed

· File event contracts and keep organized

· Possesses and maintains through understanding of industry and stays abreast of industry trends; communicates/incorporates information to assure department remains current.

· Professional appearance and demeanor

· Performs other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

· Two to four years related experience or equivalent. Preferable a degree in the field

Competencies

· Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual skills a plus

· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities

· Acute attention to detail

· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

· Ability to manage priorities and workflow

· Proficient in Caterease, Staff Mate, and Microsoft Office programs

· Professional appearance and demeanor

· Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
