Position Description:
The Field Solutions Account Manager is a member of the BuildingPoint Central sales team covering a base of General Contractors, MEP Contractors, and other construction trades in Scottsdale Territory. The primary focus is to ensure an ongoing, high-quality client experience with in-person training, tech support and maintain overall customer satisfaction tasks. Responsibilities include identifying specific contractor workflow needs and recommending our solutions to improve productivity, maximize efficiency and profitability. Account Managers will work closely with Sales Manager to support existing customers.
Trimble solutions include industry leading robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, interior laser scanning, AR & MR offerings, and software to integrate these tools.
BuildingPoint Central is a division of AllTerra Central with 8 offices in Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. We are the nation’s largest provider of construction layout and survey tools with tech support, instrument calibration/service, rentals, construction supplies and accessories in our local offices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts to achieve long-term sales success with Project Managers, Superintendents, VDC/BIM coordinators, Field Engineers, and Construction surveyors.
- Sales demonstrations to customers with Trimble Robotics, GPS/GNSS, Laser Scanners, AR & MR utilizing the Trimble FieldLink Tablet.
- Customer training on Trimble construction layout products, VDC/BIM workflows and accompanying software.
- Support of Sales Manager by handling technical questions and Support
- Act as the point of contact and handle existing customers’ individual needs
- Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
- Report on the status of accounts and transactions
- Set and track sales account targets that aligned with company objectives
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
Critical Competencies:
- Vertical Construction experience with General Contractor, MEP contractor or other construction trade
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries timely
- Business acumen with a problem-solving, “can do” attitude
- Associate degree in construction related field or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of VDC/BIM workflows and, or Construction Layout preferred
