Full description of the position

Job Title: Sales Associate

Reports To: Store Manager

Summary: A retail sales associate job will consist of greeting and talking to customers, answering product related questions, and offer general assistance to customer when needed. The sales associate will be trained to have a comprehensive knowledge of all products and brands we carry in the store and online.[J1]Sales associate must properly motivate customers’ to make correct buying decisions utilizing up to date fashion sense. Associate will be trained on Ship-to-Home program and inventory check to maximize conversion and make sure customers are able to find what they are looking for. Also, will be in charge of handling all tenders taken at Point Of Sale and must be able to totals bills, accepts payment, and makes change for customers in retail by performing following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales in the best way.

· Tags price on merchandise (Making sure all merchandise is properly label).

· Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.

· Helps to determine what the customers’ needs and be able to ensure that each customer leaves with a positive impression.

· Have knowledge to offer Ship to Home promotion, in store promotion and inform customers about our loyalty rewards program.

· Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise either over the phone or on the floor.

· Accepts payments and totals price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.

· Help maintain organization and cleanliness of the store i.e. counters, tables and shelves and racks.

· Calculates sales discount to determine price by utilizing calculator.

· Keeps record of sales, prepares inventory of stock, and orders merchandise.

· Customer Service – Respond to customer need and be able to seek for feedback from management. Ability to service our customer with multi-tasking and must be a team player.

· Organizational Support – Organize entire section of the store, keeping the store neat and clean, Complete task efficiently and in timely manner.

· Attendance/Punctuality – Must have reliable transportation, be on time and be ready to work at the start of scheduled shift and work the entirety of the shift.

· Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management direction; in a consistent and professional manner, must be willing to commit to stay long hours of work when necessary to reach goals[J2].

· Initiative – Ask for help when needed.

· Safety and Security – Report any unsafe work condition immediately to manager, District Manager, Regional manager or the Benefits department in Human Resources and utilize the safety book available in store to ensure policy and procedure for safe practice according to company standards.

Qualification: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily according to company policy and procedure book.

Education/Experience: No experience needed, must be 16 or older to apply. (Workers Permit may be required depending on state)

Language Ability: Be able to read, write and communicate with customers. Spanish requirement A Plus.

Math Ability: Basic mathematical requirement. (Adding, Subtracting and simple percentage and multiplication)

Reasoning Ability: Strong organization skills, good interpersonal skills necessary to interact with customer and store personnel to better understanding customer needs.

Computer Skills:.[J3]To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Point of Sale computers (i.e. cash register) systems.[J4]
