Job Purpose:
The Client Account Manager is primarily responsible for the client relationship aspects of an assigned book of business and related operations. Manages accounts through the efficient use of labor, materials, processes and proper staff supervision to produce desired profit margins and optimal customer satisfaction. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with clients. Follows all Company policies, procedures and safety guidelines. Performs related work as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assumes full responsibility for multiple landscape management accounts and landscape crews as assigned
- Manages labor, materials, time and customer expectations efficiently
- Proposes, estimates and sells account enhancements
- Utilizes company software correctly to schedule and manage accounts
- Completes paperwork and reports (e.g. job ticket completion, proposal updates) accurately and on time
- Creates effective reports and presentations using company templates
- Attends client board meetings, conducts landscape walks with clients and independently
- Creates punch lists and ensures they are completed
- Ensures irrigation is programmed and working correctly to ensure client satisfaction and job quality
- Makes responsible recommendations to clients
- Ability to read, write and understand contracts
- Trains, coaches, disciplines and follows through on staff direction as required
- Completes business processes in a timely and accurate fashion
- Complies with and acts as role model for all organizational policies and procedures
- Is available for “on call” emergencies
- Provides excellent service (e.g. accurate, complete, timely) to clients, team members and other Bemus staff
Key Performance Indicators:
Manages all accounts to achieve overall profitability to company standard
Manages enhancement and irrigation work profitability to company standard
Maintains all accounts to company quality standard
Retains client accounts through client relationships and quality performance
Follows and directs staff in all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Produces high quality work that is on time
Communicates effectively: follows up and doesn't need to be asked twice, keeps others posted on progress
Primary Skills and Education Required:
Positive attitude; ability to follow rules and instructions, work safely, and work well with others
Communicate effectively in written and spoken English
Possess a valid California Driver's License with acceptable driving record
5 years of professional landscape management experience
A 2 or 4 year degree in Horticulture, Plant Science or other related field is beneficial
A combination of experience and education as outlined above is ideal
Working knowledge of the principles, practices and methods associated with landscape management (e.g.,
horticulture, plant identification, insect and disease identification, irrigation, equipment operation, etc.)
Competence in math and technology
Ability to program and manager standard and smart irrigation controllers
Good time management and organization skills
Ability to solve problems in a positive and practical manner
Applies principles of supervision and team building
Ability to lead and manage a team
Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work well under stress
Focus on exceeding the expectations of customers

Work Environment:
Work is predominantly outdoors, exposed to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and noise levels. Exposure to dust, pesticides, fertilizers, grease, oils, dust, fumes and electrical currents will occur. Standing for long periods, walking for long distances, or crouching, is commonplace, including on narrow, uneven and/or slippery surfaces. The job requires stooping, lifting, carrying or otherwise transporting up to 50 pounds. Driving to and from worksites may be required. Frequent and repetitive use of hand and powered tools is required. Use of computers, phones and other technologies will be necessary.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
