Full description of the position

PARTS SALES MANAGER

This position is involved in business making and strategic planning. This is a fast-paced environment with high expectations where you are rewarded for doing exceptional work. The Parts Sales Manager directs the sales activities of the Parts Sales Team by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all salespeople.
  • Encourages a safe working environment.
  • Directs sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.
  • Establishes annual and monthly objectives for sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
  • Monitors salesperson productivity and performance.
  • Administers and monitors factory-sponsored programs.
  • Reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs, and volume potential, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the dealership.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Attends managers meetings as requested.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Detail/customer oriented
  • Excellent follow up and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and adapt to constantly changing priorities.
  • General computer knowledge and a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Displays a “can-do” attitude that focuses on accountability and solutions
  • Self-motivated
  • Must display excellent leadership skills
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
