A logistics services company is looking to hire a Sales Tax Accountant for their Chattanooga team. This is a direct placement role offering competitive salary, growth potential, hybrid work schedule, and relocation if necessary.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

This individual will be responsible for managing the sales tax compliance function for the equipment handling group (group focuses on the sale, rent and service of material handling equipment such as forklifts). They will make journal entries and reconcile with Avalara what is coming out of the general ledger as well as utilize Avalara to review and approve filings. In addition, this person will assist with with income tax compliance such as estimated payments or payment extensions. They will also gather data related to income and sales tax compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 1-2 years of sales tax experience

Additional "Nice to Have" Qualifications:

• Experience with Avalara software
• Masters degree or CPA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
